Dr. Strock is a nationally recognized authority on breast implant replacement, that may be needed due to unwanted implant movement, firmness, wish to be a different size, or implant rupture. In addition, many patients request correction of breast tissue that may have dropped over time due to gravity or pregnancies. Dr. Strock spoke on this subject in the 30th Annual Atlanta Breast Surgery Symposium in January of this year. Dr. Strock also authored four case study chapters in the recently published plastic surgery textbook entitled “Problems in Breast Surgery: A Repair Manual”, focusing in breast tissue relaxation to be addressed at the time of implant replacement, and different ways to manage the original implant pocket in preparing for breast implant replacement. He incorporates many of the concepts discussed routinely in the care of his patients who seek consultation for secondary breast implant procedures.
